T1W8 Journal Writing :Reading
Hi Amelia here.^^
Today I am going to talk about reading.
I think the school gets the pupils to read every morning is to help them improve their English and Mother Tongue vocabulary and compositions.
I like reading because I think that some books are very interesting and I like to read them.
I like to read interesting and exciting books.
I think reading will help with my school work as I already said that reading will help us to improve their English and Mother Tongue vocabulary and compositions.
I think the school can encourage us to read more by telling the school principal to introduce a new interesting and popular book every week.
I recommend The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time, written by Mark Haddon. I like to read this book because the character in this book is unusual and the content is interesting.
I hope you have know more about the kind of books I am reading. I am eager to know yours too.

T1W7: Activities Outside School
Amelia here. ^^
Today I am going to talk about my activities outside school, which also means my extra lessons like tuitions and other activities NOT in school.
I have tuition for all four subjects from Monday to Sundays.
I spent 3 days for my tuition. Tuesday(Chinese), Friday(Math) and Saturday(English and Science). Sometimes I will also have extra lessons on Sunday.
On Tuesday and Friday, I will spend 1 and a half hour and on Saturday, I will spend 2 hours.
I think I am involved in my tuition classes because my parents wants me to score better marks for my exams and learn more things through tuition classes.
I think these activities are necessary for me as my tuition classes can help me improve my subjects and pull me forward and score higher marks.
I think these activities will affect my school studies as it help me to improve my subjects.
I think I will be stressed sometimes as there will be more homework.
I think pupils should be involved in outside school activities as it will help us to relax more if it is some fun activities. Sometimes it is also good if pupils have tuition as it can help them to know more information about the subject that they are learning.

T1W6 : Journal Writing Passion for Learning
Amelia here. ^^
Today I am going to talk about what is Passion for Learning all about.
I understand by Passion for Learning is something that you like to do, keen to learn this something and enjoy doing it.
I think it is necessary for people to have a passion for learning as it gives a meaning to our lives and moves us forward towards our goals.
My second sister is very good in art. She likes to design different kinds of clothes and fashion. Now when she just graduated and now she is planning to go into an art course in poly. I think she has the Passion for Learning in art.
I do not have the Passion for Learning anything at the moment, but perhaps I will in future. I will take my time to explore all the possibilities and hopefully I will find something that I like to do.
I can learn to try out different types of activities and find new hobbies.

T1W5 Journal Writing: Target Setting
Amelia here.^^
Today I am going to talk about Target Settings.
I think the purpose of setting targets for the various subjects is to improve on our weak subjects. If we set them, we will know what is our targets and we will work hard and strive hard to get that target.
I think setting targets for ourselves this is very useful as it will know how much did we improve when we strive hard for our targets.
I set my targets myself by putting them more then what I got from last year's results.
I am going to work harder and spend more time on studying to help myself achieve my targets,
My parents help me to achieve my targets by encouraging me that I can do it, be confident in myself and sending me to tuition classes.
I will think of all the great rewards I will get if I strive hard to achieve my targets to motivate myself towards achieving my targets.
I think my teachers or school can help me achieve my targets by teaching us better and reading more books.
That is all I have to say!

What will you defend?

Today for Total Defence, I will talk about what i will defend.
I will defend the National Flag of Singapore.
I will defend it because I think that the National Flag is very meaningful and valuable.
I will defend it by not letting people insult it as The National Flag has many importatant symbolisms.

T1W4 Journal Writing : Festivals
Amelia Here. ^^
I am going to talk about festivals.
The festival that I celebrate every year is Chinese New Year.
I celebrate this festival because this is my family's tradition and I am a Chinese.
I celebrate this festival by going to my relatives house to collect red packets. Almost every year, I will go to Malaysia to celebrate the new year. I also have many reunion dinners in Malaysia as well as Singapore.
I know some other festivals like,-Hari Raya (Malays/Muslims)-Deepavali (Indians/Tamils)The Malays eat their traditional food during their festivals. They also collect green packets.I do not really know about how the Indians celebrate their festivals.
I think the celebration of the various festivals help in strengthening racial harmony among the various race in Singapore as all these festivals help us to get reunited every year and help us to stay together.
I think we can invite more friends and family to our reunion dinners in order to develop stronger bonds.
That is all I have to say.

Hello everyone.

Today I am going to talk about our school values, mission and vision.
Our school vision is: A school of distinction Nurturing Future-Ready Citizens of character.
Our school mission is:
Providing quality education to equip pupils with the values, knowledge and skills for the 21st century.
Our school values is also named as P.I.E:
P- Passion for learning.I- Integrity our foundationE- Excellence in everything we do.
I think our school vision, mission and values are very valuable as they teach us how to be a good and self-disciplined Andersonian.
I believe in the school values because it help us to be a self-disciplined person if you are inside the school or outside the school.
I think only some students think of the school values when engaging in activities in school or outside. Like, when their in school they have passion for learning, try their best in everything you do and have integrity. When their outside, at home, they have passion for learning for revising their work. Some students only follow some of them.
I can revise my work at home, focus hard in school, have integrity and try my best in everything I do.
I think the teachers can organize some fun activities regarding the school values in order to help us learn the school values in our heart.
